Lorraine (Lorry) Sorgman, EA, MST, USTCP is available for public speaking both at the local and national level.

Ms Sorgman is an Enrolled Agent, and founder and President of Small Business Accounting Services (1983). She earned her Bachelor in Science in Business Administration and her Master of Science in Taxation from Suffolk University. Ms Sorgman became an Enrolled Agent in 1987.

Ms Sorgman is a Fellow and former President of the National Tax Practice Institute’s Graduate Fellows’ Association and attends the annual seminar of the American Academy of Tax Practice. She is a past 2nd Vice President of the Massachusetts Society of Enrolled Agents and has served on the Boards of the Massachusetts Chapter of the National Association of Tax Professionals, the Massachusetts Association of Public Accountants, and the Massachusetts Society of Independent Accountants.

Ms Sorgman is a frequent presenter of workshops covering such subjects as:

• Real Estate for Real Estate Professionals
• Burden of Proof
• Privilege for Federally Authorized Tax Practitioners (Beast or Burden)
• Practitioner Penalties
• Collection Alternatives with the IRS

She has also presented on the national circuit on subjects such as:

Ms Sorgman is a among a handful of Enrolled Agents in the United States, admitted to practice in the United States Tax Court. She has successfully defended a case in the United States Tax Court on whether a Master in Business Administration is a valid deductible employee business expense. Ms. Sorgman was the 2002 recipient of the Massachusetts Enrolled Agent of the Year, and the 2009 recipient as Mentor of The Year, awarded by the National Association of Enrolled Agents.

Her most recent achievement has been the recognition as a Qualified CPE Course Developer offered by The Legacy Series, LLC.
